12 Air Travel Tips for more comfortable travel 

(1) Avoid window seats, they are colder than you think, though great for the view-) 

(2) NEVER drink the coffee or tea in the plane. The water used to make them very often is not clean as it comes from the tanks that are rarely properly sanitized. 

(3) Dirtiest spots are the tray tables and seatback pockets, not bathrooms. 

(4) ALWAYS choose a morning flight to avoid delays which stack up as the day goes on.

(5) Sit in the back of the plane if you want a better service. It is easier for the crew to offer extras discreetly without everyone else seeing.

(6) ALWAYS choose a special meal option in advance instead of the standard meal, they are usually better, often fresher and served before the regular meals. 

(7) Don’t wear shorts on a plane, wear jeans or joggers instead and stay warm and clean.

(8) Pick seats over the wing for less turbulence as that part of the plane is more stable during flight, so you will feel fewer bumps and your flight will be more relaxing. 

(9) Use seat maps to choose your seat, you can avoid of being randomly allocated your seat e.g. next to the bathroom and you will make your flight more comfortable. 

(10) ALWAYS pack a portable charger, airport charging stations are often taken or not working, so bring a power bank, keep it charged, and your phone will never die. -)

(11) Download the airline app before you fly as it gives you live updates on gate changes, delays, boarding zones and baggage info. Moreover, you will usually get your boarding pass on your phone.

(12) Use incognito mode for flight searches, or private browsing mode, as airline websites and travel platforms track your searches and sometimes increase their prices.
